The Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband Router is really three devices in one package. There's the Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect to the network without wires. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. The Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection. The Access Point built into the Router uses the very latest wireless networking technology. By overlaying the signals of multiple radios, Wireless-N's Multiple In, Multiple Out (MIMO) technology multiplies the effective data rate. The robust signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections much farther than standard Wireless-G. Wireless-N can dynamically enable double-speed mode for Wireless-N devices, while still connecting to other wireless devices at their respective fastest speeds. In congested areas, the Good Neighbor mode ensures that the Router checks for other wireless devices in the area before gobbling up the radio band. To help protect your data and privacy, the Router can encode all wireless transmissions with industrial-strength 256-bit encryption. It can serve as your network's DHCP Server, has a powerful SPI firewall to protect your PCs against intruders and most known Internet attacks, and supports VPN pass-through. Configuration is a snap with the web browser-based configuration utility. Excelent range, almost as fast as cable
This router really fulfilled my expectations, the signal is always very strong throughout my apt. I could transfer large files between two laptops having n-wireless cards at over 5MB/s. Configuration is easy and the design is beautiful.
Excellent, easy install
I bought this to replace an older Linksys wireless-G router that got hit by lightning. It was simple to set up, and works very well. Access by wireless is noticeably faster than the G version I had. I have had several brands over the years, and Linksys (a division of Cisco) always seems to work well right out of the box. The range is also better than the older G version, we consistently get 1-2 bars more than the older version on all 3 of our PC's that are connected wirelessly.
This router works great with the Linksys USB wireless card (WUSB600N) for the remote computers.
Highly recommended, and the price is right too!

No problems. Difficulty with installation. Had to call Linksys. But once up and running it was excellent and has been excellent.
Super fast and easy
I would definitely recommend this wireless router.. easy to setup and super fast. The range is great too.. I clocked some record speeds with this good looking piece of tech equipment. I did have some wierd thing happen when I first set it up-- it cut out after about an hour... I reset it and it has been good to go since. Not sure what happened there. I have had it for about a month.. All in all I would actually give it about a 4.5 rating. To get a better router you would def have to spend a lot more money than what this one goes for.
WORKS WELL BUT.........
I AM NEW TO THIS WHOLE WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY STUFF SO FROM A NOVICE, THIS WORKS WELL WITH MY TOSHIBA LAPTOP ( VISTA HOME PREMIUM ) AND IS EASY TO SET UP BUT THE SOFTWARE THAT IS SUPPOSED TO MONITOR YOUR CONNECTION GAVE ME SUCH PROBLEMS KEEPING ME CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET THAT I HAD TO SCRAP THE WHOLE THING. WHEN I STARTED OVER AND JUST CONNECTED THE ROUTER IT HAS BEEN WORKING FLAWLESSLY. I HAVEN'T YET CALLED CISCO TO FIND OUT WHY THE MONITOR SOFTWARE KEPT DROPPING MY CONNECTION BUT OTHER THAN THAT I AM HAPPY WITH THE PRODUCT. ALSO IT HAS GIVEN ME AN ACCESS POINT SO I CAN CONNECT MY PSP FOR UPDATES AND SUCH. GOOD ELECTRONIC HUNTING :)
